Homopolymer Acetal or Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a machine lathe. It’s very easy to turn, however it requires slower speeds. I use this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are quite tough and easily machinable, as they have similar physical properties. They look the same, but for practical use there are some differences that can make one preferable than the other. It also depends heavily on your application.
